The MIL is an independent interscholastic athletics league that includes schools from Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The MIL is dedicated to providing a positive and competitive
experience for all of our student athletes, spectators,
and school communities.

Rachel Madison VanLeer, a senior at Providence Christian Academy in Elkton, MD, embodies the essence of excellence and dedication both on and off the court. As the esteemed captain of the varsity volleyball team, Rachel’s journey in the sport commenced in 7th grade, revealing her enduring passion for volleyball.

Her presence on the court is a testament to her unwavering work ethic. Whether spiking a ball or pursuing her academic endeavors, Rachel’s commitment to excellence shines through. Holding a stellar 4.4 GPA and actively participating in dual enrollment at Cecil College, she has already accrued an impressive 12 college credits. Her academic prowess mirrors her determination and drive, showcasing a balance between sporting prowess and scholarly achievement.

Beyond the academic realm, Rachel is an engaged and enthusiastic member of her community. She actively contributes to her youth group at CityLight Church, demonstrating her commitment to fostering connections and making a positive impact in her surroundings.

Rachel’s aspirations extend far beyond her current achievements. With a clear vision for her future, she aims to pursue Speech Pathology at Towson University. Her ambition to enter this field underscores her compassionate nature and desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
